The GREEKS' locker room, still steaming from the win. Towels, air-horns, somebody's Bluetooth speaker. The trophy's already getting passed around and drunk out of. AGGIE bursts in with HELEN on his arm — the whole reason for the season, recovered, radiant, and bored.
AGGIE (up on a bench, king of the world) — MY PLACE. TONIGHT. Everybody. We didn't just win a game — we took back what they stole. (lifts Helen's hand like a trophy) Parents are gone, pool's heated, and I'm not hearing "no" from a single one of you!
The room ROARS. ACHILLES is already shirtless and planning. The team swarms OZZY — the hero, the guy who scored, the one everybody wants at the party.
ACHILLES — Ozzy! You're the guest of honor, man. Can't have the party without the dude who won it.
TEAMMATE — Nobody scored the touchdown — Nobody's gotta be at the party!
Laughter. OZZY's already got his bag over his shoulder, backing toward the door, grinning that grin.
OZZY — Nah, boys. Nobody's got somewhere to be.
AGGIE (mock-wounded) — You're gonna turn down this? (gestures at the whole roaring kingdom — the trophy, the party, Helen)
OZZY (a beat — he looks at Helen on Aggie's arm, then somewhere past all of it, toward the door, toward home) — You fought a whole war for your girl, Ag. (soft) Let me go home to mine.
The room "ohhhh"s. AGGIE, for once, has nothing. OZZY hits the door. The party noise drops behind him like a closing hatch, and it's just him, his bag, and the long dark road home as the number lifts.
